Thomas Ryan is the Founding Partner of Ryan Lamontagne Inc. He is a graduate of the University of Ottawa Commerce Program, and holds the Certified Financial Planner designation. Thomas has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. With broad experience at a major Canadian chartered bank and one of Canada’s largest mutual fund distribution companies early in his career, Thomas launched his own financial planning firm in 1992. For the past 20 years, he has specialized in providing comprehensive wealth management solutions for executives, business owners, and high net worth individuals.

Thomas enjoys an active lifestyle centered on his family and his passion for sports and outdoor activities. He is an accomplished marathon runner, an avid canoeist, and a recreational hockey player. In the summer of 2012, he paddled the Nahanni River, a remote white-water river in Canada’s Northwest Territories.

Thomas also volunteers within his local community. He served for five years as a member of the Gloucester Soccer Association, including two years as Treasurer and three years as Chairman of the Gloucester Hornets Executive Committee. Thomas and his wife Kim are the proud parents of three children. They enjoy spending quality time together at the family cottage located northeast of Ottawa.

Marc Lamontagne is a Founding Partner in of Ryan Lamontagne Inc. He is a graduate of Carleton University, and a member of the Ryan Lamontagne Inc. investment committee. With 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry, Marc has a broad range of knowledge and experience in the world of personal finance.

He specializes in comprehensive financial planning, investment advisory services, and tax planning. An accomplished speaker, Marc has delivered numerous seminars and workshops across Canada. His background in the financial services industry provides him with a unique understanding of the complexity of comprehensive wealth management.

Marc has a history of staying in the forefront of the financial planning industry trends, transitioning to fee-for-advice in 1996. In addition, Marc is past-president of the Ottawa chapter of the Canadian Association of Financial Planners (now called Advocis), and has served on the faculty of the Canadian Academy of Senior Advisors as well as on the Advisor’s Edge Report advisory board. He is a CFP® Brand Ambassador.

In 2012 Marc was awarded the Fellow of FPSC™ distinction.

As a recognized financial expert, Marc has been quoted extensively in the media, including The Globe and Mail, National Post, CBC, Ottawa Citizen, Toronto Star, and MoneySense magazine.

In his leisure time Marc volunteers with Ottawa Salus Corporation, which provides housing and support services to people with mental health problems, and stays active with regular visits to the gym, running, yoga, and tennis.

Enjoying twenty years as a trusted advisor, David is partner at Ryan Lamontagne and provides world class financial planning to professionals and business owners. Considered a tax planning specialist, David also provides comprehensive planning to executives, trusts and closely held corporations.

David is an experienced and entertaining orator and has facilitated hundreds of presentations to a wide cross-section of audiences, for both public and private sector organizations in Canada. An author and media resource, David is often quoted in a variety of local and national publications as a fluent authority on matters of financial education.

David is the Chair of the firm's Investment Committee and is licensed by the Ontario Securities Commission as a Portfolio Manager. He has also been named as a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute.

Outside of business activities, David enjoys time with his family and continues to play the game of soccer. He is a provincially certified coach and actively coaches competitive goalkeepers within the Ottawa area. David is the proud husband to his wife Andria and they are the parents of three talented children.

Ayana is an Associate Financial Planner with Ryan Lamontagne Inc. She brings over six years of financial services experience, with expertise in financial planning, severance and transition consulting, insurance, and tax planning. Ayana specializes in assisting clients achieve their financial goals through the development of a comprehensive financial plan.

Ayana holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Ottawa, where she also served as captain of the women’s soccer team.

Ayana and husband Andrew are proud parents of their busy toddler Hayden and newborn August.

Vickie is an Associate Financial Planner with Ryan Lamontagne Inc. Vickie has a BSC in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph and she holds the Certified Financial Planner Designation. She has also taken several courses with the Canadian Securities Institute in order to augment her technical knowledge.

With almost 10 years of years experience in the financial industry, she has become an advocate for the importance of financial planning in all facets of life. Early career experiences and the raising of her three children have solidified Vickie’s belief in the value of in-depth financial planning. Her experience in banking, wealth management, and insurance gives Vickie a breadth of expertise which she draws upon when developing financial plans tailored to the individual needs of her clients.

Vickie builds long-term relationships with her clients. She facilitates the achievement of her client’s financial goals and provides her clients with peace of mind. She develops comprehensive financial plans with a focus on both the short-term and long-term objectives. Her financial plans include strategies to deal with wealth management, retirement and estate planning, tax minimization, and insurance and estate matters.

Outside of work, Vickie enjoys the outdoors, her book club, and spending time with her family. She and her husband Ian are active hikers, skiers, and canoeists.
